The creator of a dynamic and brightly-coloured universe, Abdi Abdelkader’s style wavers between post-modernism and tradition. He has designed for diverse European companies (Alessi, Il Coccio, Formudesign, Galaxy, Glas, Hyalos, Ligne Roset, Cinna, Néotu, Sommer…) and was voted best French designer in 2002. In his work, this artist expresses and evokes some of the most intimate sources of inspiration, the decorative arts of North Africa that he has always astutely transposed to the highest level of modernity.
