Georges Braque was a visionary and created an unrivalled body of work. A genius forbearer with many different facets, this free and daring artist brought about a veritable revolution in Art History, founding Cubism in 1907 with the help of Picasso. Fauvist, cubist and a master of still life, Braque was also the precursor in the three-dimensional metamorphosis of his paintings. Whilst perusing its legacy, Daum rediscovered projects that were to be designed by the Master himself; thanks to Armand Israël, Braque’s beneficiary, Daum majestically transformed the artist’s original gouache work into crystal sculptures.
