French sculptor (1928-2005)
Arman is a globally recognised name who shaped a turning point in art history; in 1947, he collaborated actively in the creation of the Ecole de Nice. A driving force of New Realism, Arman denounced the mass production of consumer society. A forbearer of modern art, this “shower of objects” marked the artistic world with his “accumulations”, “furies” and “destructions”. His highly sought-after pieces have considerable value on the market.
