Dominique Vial
French artist and sculptor
Passionate about both the miniature and the monumental, Dominique Vial is interested in all materials and specialises in creating busts of famous personalities. The artist was charmed by pâte-de-cristal that she describes as “a marvellous diaphanous material; it characterises an increase in volume as a sort of evaporation of shape and matter until it becomes eternally set and moulded in space.”
