Kerg Theo
Painter, sculptor, engraver and glassmaker (1909-1993)
Theo Kerg was a disciple of Paul Klee and in the 1930s his approach joined that of the Abstraction-Creation group which he later led himself. In around 1956, he moved towards what he called “tactilism”. This work is based on the tactile sense and uses different even non-pictorial materials; the reliefs involve play on light.
