Sauvat Jean-Louis
French artist – 1947
Nicknamed the "horseman" artist , the talented Jean-Louis Sauvat is an admirable drawer and sculptor of horses. A keen rider when not teaching Fine Arts, he has illustrated numerous books on horse-riding. He has produced a large number of monumental works, such as the "Triptyk" statues of Bartabas , and the frescoes that decorate the wall of the Grandes Ecuries (stables) at Versailles.
