A cabinet-maker, marquetry inlayer (École Boulle) and graduate in design from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle in 1987 (Paris), Jean-Baptiste worked with Ricardo Bofill from 1987 to 1991 prior to working with major French industrial companies and manufacturers such as Christofle, Hermès, Puiforcat and Saint-Gobain. In 1991, he created his design studio before joining Daum as Design Director in 1999. In 2002, he received the Talent de l’Elégance award at the Summit for Luxury in Paris for his lifetime achievement. He has a passion for architecture and the ability to transform materials. He creates original pieces, delicate and full of poetry.
