Designers Elizabeth Garouste and Mattia Bonetti use their four hands to create a fun world of objects and furniture in Baroque shapes and colours. They are exuberant. The two artists call it “New Design” and believe it should favour production by craftsmen as opposed to mass-produced industrial series. Garouste and Bonetti have sparked a return to natural materials (stone, leather and wood) and toy with oppositions such as rough and smooth, poor materials and refined textures, the real and the fake.
