Manolo Valdes

Manolo Valdes is an internationally acclaimed artist who takes his inspiration from major themes in art history, using universally recognised pieces. He creates a dialogue with the original piece, but never overlays or forgets it. He lives between Madrid where he has his paint atelier and New York, where he has a sculpture workshop. He often exhibits his work in magnificent venues like the Palais Royal Gardens in Paris (2006).
