How can I be sure to recognize a genuine Daum piece?
A Daum piece is authenticated by several elements:
- The Daum France signature on every piece.
- The artist’s signature and the Daum France signature on the Art editions.
- The number of the piece if it is a limited edition.
- A certificate of authenticity is supplied with every Daum piece.
Every piece is unique because of a manual manufacturing process. Thus, even for the same model, not two pieces will be identical. You can notice slight differences in the shades/colour gradations, for example.
This is completely normal and a result of our master glassmakers’ know-how for working wonders with Daum pâte-de-cristal.
