Jérôme Mesnager

Jérôme Mesnager was born on January 29, 1961 in Colmar France. In 1974, he enrolled at the École Boulle. In 1979, he took comic strip classes and in 1982, he co-founded Zig-Zag, a group of young artists “zig-zag the jungle of towns”, who revitalized abandoned places with graffiti. The streets became his privileged field of expression and in 1983 he created the White Man, “a symbol of light, strength and peace”. Today, this white silhouette can be seen on the walls of Paris and around the world.Mesnager creates for Daum a figure in crystal. On one side, the crystal is perfectly polished and smooth, while on the other, the crystal is rough, resembling wood. This work of art blends the finesse of the crystal with the richness of the natural material – wood. In Love Dance, the white figures express their poetry in the luminous colors and the transparency of the crystal, which reveal endless space imagined by the artist.
