JonOne

Born in 1963 in New York USA, lives and works in Paris France. John Andrew Perello, AKA JonOne/JonOne156, founded the 156 All Starz group in 1984 in New York. At the age of 17, he began working in the world of graffiti.

JonOne made a name for his style and created abstract works influenced by movement, colour and the energy of the city. His style sets him apart from others as, at that time, the majority of other graffiti writers were working in more figurative styles.

In 1985, JonOne began working on canvas, with the desire to, one day, leave behind a trace that would resist the test of time. In 1987, JonOne moved to Paris and started working in a collective atelier with the pioneers of Street art. Since 1990, JonOne has exposed his works in a wide range of solo and group exhibitions around the world. JonOne’s work explodes with energy and colours; the artist himself sees his art as “abstract expressionist graffiti”.

Daum further establishes its mark in urban art by collaborating with this major artist. The Manufacturer gave the artist carte blanche, and provided him with a new medium to express his creativity. From a graffiti and a tag, he creates works in crystal imprinted with his colourful art.

The famous crystal manufacturer and Jonone decide to combine their art and passion for colour, to create exceptional pieces in intense and acidulous colours that play with the reliefs and the reflections of light. This encounter sparks a surprising dialogue between the world of street art and the universe of the Maison Daum.
